JBHS Remote this week

PDE released additional guidance to schools last week regarding positive COVID cases. Due to the increasing number of positive cases in the last 14 days at JBHS, we are going to shift to remote instruction for our HS students for one week starting Monday, September 27th. Extracurricular activities will be allowed next week unless positive cases impact a specific team, organization, or group.
As our students travel off of our campuses, we will enforce any masking requirement as stipulated by the location(s) we are visiting. This could include field trips, away athletic contests, etc. Students who may meet the criteria for a mask exemption in our TSD schools may be required to wear a mask in other locations or be excluded from participation in the activity/event.

JBMS Food Services Update

Good Evening JBMS Families-

Due to some recent staffing challenges, we will be limiting menu options for the remainder of the week for lunch at the middle school. All students will continue to be eligible for free breakfasts and lunches, but we will not be offering extra items such as ice cream, chips, snacks, and second meals through this Friday. We are hopeful that we can resume normal cafeteria offerings next week. We encourage you to send in snacks if your student normally eats more than just the meal provided during lunch service. We appreciate your support as we continue to try to overcome the obstacles presented and keep in-person learning a top priority.

Thank you.

Teachers and staff promptly moved all students indoors until the incident was resolved. Our students did a great job transitioning into the building. TSD Schools CLOSED September 1 Due to expected rainfall and flooding

Dear TSD Families,
Due to the forecasted heavy rainfall and expected flooding, all Tuscarora School District schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, September 1, 2021. Although we are approved to have Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs), we will not be using one tomorrow and will not be providing remote instruction. TSD will make up the day with “in-person” instruction on February 21, 2022 per the approved 21/22 school calendar.

For planning purposes, there is a strong possibility of a delay on Thursday morning to ensure that all bus routes are passable and safe. A decision on Thursday AM will be made tomorrow and communicated ASAP through our normal notification channels.

Thank you. Be safe.
